So as the title says.. yes I went over seas. Aussies first port of call, I saw nearly all of it drank ate got out and saw heaps, I got complacent at my friends house, but I started to do a lot of walking there, I got a job north west of Aussie as a nanny, and then a teacher aide loved it, I came back to New Zealand, Then went on to England where I worked at a nanny, Was not until I had traveled to many different countries and last of all Africa.. your sitting on a truck most of the time. Yes we got to go for hikes and walks etc but it was not enough to compensate my eating.. I was horrified when I looked at the photos when they were developed to see how big I had got. All I could think of was thank god I live in another country. I do have to say, when in Rome.. one must try the food.. Italy, 7 countries of Africa, Denmark, Ireland, Scotland, England, Sweden, Breakfast in Germany. You need to try you might not go back again. This might me your once in a life time opportunity to eat that authentic ice cream, cake, traditional meal, make the most of it, my good angle on my shoulder that tells me right from wrong deserted me i was left with the bad angle that kept saying it was fine. I felt disgusted with my after my travels. I loved seeing the countries just wish i was fitter and healthier and way more clued up to go traveling. I missed out on stuff cause I had become unfit.
So my thoughts on this.
Few Things I learn’t when traveling,
- Eat sensibly and get active.
- Make sure you are fit so no opportunities are missed.
- Take every opportunity there is, more to life than the local pub or the NZ pub in London, don’t waste ya money get out and see stuff. Wish I had, one of my main countries I wanted to see and I didn’t, thought socialising was more important I lost sight.
